Grow Your Own Illinois is now the STATE administrator of the Grow Your Own Teacher Education Initiative
Thank you to the co-sponsors, Rep. Rita Mayfield and Sen. Iris Martinez. The Grow Your Own Teacher Education Act was amended on July 26, 2019. It provides that Grow Your Own Illinois (instead of the Illinois Board of Higher Education) will administer the Grow Your Own Teacher Education Initiative as a grant competition to fund consortia that will carry out Grow Your Own Teacher preparation programs.
